What kind of church is Grace?

First and foremost, Grace is a Christian church. We believe that Jesus Christ is the true Savior of all people. By his perfect life, innocent death and triumphant resurrection, he saves all lost sinners.

Every aspect of ministry at Grace points to Jesus, our Friend and Savior. Through worship, Christian education, children/adult programs and social activities, we develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus.

Why is worship important?

True Christian worship is a heartfelt expression of love and adoration for our Lord and Savior. It’s our opportunity to thank and praise Him for all he has done.

The order of services and the music we use are found in our hymnals. They are also displayed on a large video screen in front of the church. Sermons, readings from the Bible, hymns and prayers focus on the words and works of Jesus as they are arranged in the Christian Church Year.

What happens when I visit?

God’s grace welcomes you, no matter who you are or where you come from – and so do we. When you enter the worship area, one of our ushers will offer you a church bulletin. This bulletin will provide you with information on the specific order of service, hymns, prayers, and so on that we will use in the worship service. Please ask the pastor or one of the ushers if you have any questions prior to worship.

What is the offering about?

Like many churches, Grace collects an offering during the worship service. This is an opportunity for the members of our congregation to show their love for our Lord by supporting our ministry at Grace. Visitors are free to contribute to our collection if they so choose. If you do not wish to contribute, simply pass the offering plate along when it reaches you.

What else happens on Sundays?

Sunday mornings are busy times at Grace. At 8 a.m. we offer a chance to learn about God’s Word through Bible study. We welcome all visitors to join us as we study God’s Word together.

After most worship services we have snacks and coffee in the narthex. Visitors are welcome to join us for this time of fellowship. Sunday School is offered from September through May for children in pre-kindergarten through the eighth grade. If you have children and would like them to attend Sunday School, please speak to the pastor. He will direct you to the appropriate classroom for your child.

How can I learn more about Grace?

Just ask Pastor Tobison. He will arrange a time to visit with you. Before you leave church, please take a moment to sign our guest register. And please come and worship with us again!

What our Members say

“I tell my kids that the Wisconsin Synod keeps the Word pure. Bible study enables me to learn more and keep growing in my faith … I like the size of our church. It’s small. It’s more of a community than the larger churches. I know pretty much everyone here by their first name.”

“I was a member of another church but they got too liberal for me. The WELS follows the Bible. I enjoy Bible study. I enjoy learning more about Scripture. If you read the Bible just by yourself, you might not understand it. There are things from the Pastor that you might not know. He gives insight that we don’t know about.”

“I really appreciate the WELS. It’s very Bible-driven. Here, I hear both the Law and the Gospel. Every week I hear the Law and Gospel. You can’t do one without the other. The fact that there’s nothing added or taken away from God’s Word – that’s really important.”
